This modern re-telling of the fable of Orpheus and Eurydice privileges her part of the story.  Part of my directing concept for this production was that the Underworld is where music goes to die.  To that end, we incorporated broken instruments into the set - piano keys & sound boards, guitar strings & broken bodies, and torn sheet music.  Strings also served as visual connectors to memories and emotions - attempting, though not always succeeding, to facilitate interpersonal reconnection.
