Our Town

Stage Craft

To highlight how the abiding themes of this classic American play can apply to our contemporary moment, we staged this production in promenade, removing the barriers between actors and audience members.  The audience was invited into pre-show smalltown activities (catch, cards, puzzles, sodas).  They sat throughout the “town” in Act One, became the congregation at the wedding in Act Two, and were amongst the gravestones in Act Three.
