In this set, the platforms are attached to each other at unusual angles, to represent the disruption of life upon a community after a plane crash.  From a bird’s-eye view, the platforms resemble the outline of a broken plane.  The green “Scottish hills” are made of painted pieces of clothing, representing lost lives which have now become part of the fabric of the town of Lockerbie.
